Anchors
RIPE Atlas anchors are enhanced, well-connected measurement devices hosted by organisations across the Internet. They act both as powerful probes and as regional measurement targets for the rest of the RIPE Atlas network.
This section covers everything you need as an anchor host, from installing a new anchor to managing it once it is up and running.
Sections
- Installing an Anchor — Requirements, hardware and virtual machine specifications, and the full installation procedure for a new anchor.
- Anchor Management — Using the "My Anchors" dashboard card to track your anchors and submit change requests.
- Anchor Services — The DNS, HTTP(S), TLS and other services each anchor runs as a measurement target, and how to query them.
If you are interested in hosting an anchor, see Host an Anchor on the RIPE NCC website.
